Yes I slayed in this gigantic tulle skirt that I made. It took a few hours to make and was a complete chore getting into the car! As I was heading out the door on my way to an awards show where I was nominated for best designer by the way, I had my brother help me gather the skirt so that it would not drag on the ground. Then the real test came, how the hell to get down the steps without tripping! One step at a time just like a twelve step program honeys! Then it was time to get into the car. So I sat facing the door and swooped in like a big ass eagle. I prayed none of the skirt was hanging out the door and I was off. Once we reached our destination, once again the gathering began. I made it to the elevator and just let the fluffy madness fall as it should. With my Christian Siriano caged heels on I glided to the show. A couple and their little girl stared in amazement as the pink queen walked down the hall and sure enough, the mother touched the skirt first. Then the daughter. I smiled and told the little girl yes you can have one for your quinceria. A Spanish celebration for girls turning 15. All night I received compliments for the big ass skirt and my brother couldn't believe it. Yes hunnie it pays to be daring and to stand allll the way out. So what are doing fearlessly in fashion today?
